Velvet Rope provides automated and human-in-the-loop comment moderation for social media accounts that you control and have granted access to. By connecting an account, you authorise Velvet Rope to read incoming comments, hide them temporarily for review, and act on them (delete, restore, or reply) according to your configured rules and your team's decisions.
Comment scoring uses third-party AI (Anthropic Claude) and is not infallible. Velvet Rope provides the AI's verdict as a recommendation, not a guarantee. You retain ultimate responsibility for moderation decisions made via the service. Where Velvet Rope auto-actions comments based on configured thresholds, you have configured those thresholds and accepted the resulting trade-offs.
For platforms where Velvet Rope cannot directly hide or delete comments (currently: Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon), the service files removal requests to those platforms within seconds of your team's decision. The platform itself decides when, or whether, to act on the request. Some respond within hours; some take weeks; some never respond. Your legal duty is to issue notice expeditiously, not to make the platform act. Velvet Rope provides a time-stamped audit trail of every notice we send on your behalf.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Velvet Rope's liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the fees paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim. Geeky Bee Limited is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost revenue or reputational harm.
Either party may terminate the service at any time by written notice. On termination, your data is deleted per the retention policy in our Privacy Policy.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
